Mansfield Palace – May 2015

We were at the May show at Mansfield Palace and  it was a great evenings entertainment. We used to go to the Hollies concerts until Alan Clarke left then they
went off track a bit and you and your group have rekindled our interest in their music. When you are next in this area we will certainly attend.
All the best to you all.

Galtres Centre Easingwold – 4th July 2014

“Absolutely terrific performance at the Galtres Centre Easingwold earlier tonight. Brought back so many memories and the rapport between the band was brilliant, it certainly carried over to the audience. A privilege too to meet you guys after the show, thank you. I see from your website you are appearing at Alvaston Hall next year (21 Feb) – methinks a weekend break might be on the cards.”

Stamford Corn Exchange – 31st May 2014

“Great gig in Stamford last night guys. Thanks so much. The performance oozed with vitality and professionalism. Great musical arrangments and three part harmonies. Love the jokes and banter. Best night out my wife Lesley and I have had for a long time. Loook forward to seeing you again in the future.”

Consett Empire – 10th May 2014

“Caught your gig at consett empire tonight, got to say , I saw The Hollies and Crosby Stills and Nash last year and your vocals and harmonies are on par with them, great show.”

“In the spectacular setting of The Gateshead Sage,The Hollies gave the audience almost everything they came for,the big hits, the minor hits and some downright obscure songs. The audience loved it but what was missing was the soaring harmonisation of Allan Clarke and Graham Nash which rendered the group into a very good tribute band. But it was a great reminder of how powerful a force The Hollies were in their heyday.
The Hollywood Bees, the real tribute band,in the more intimate if not so impressive Customs House, took the music to a higher level, with the vocal harmonies and instrument work almost perefect. The Real SOUND OF THE HOLLIES!  If there is a better tribute band in the country they must be keeping themselves well hidden.”
– Ed and Rita….Tyne and Wear

“Nostalgia hung heavy in the air at a near capacity Customs House in South Shields. The Hollywood Bees do what they say on the tin..but with great panache.
Close your eyes and it was hard to differentiate their performances from the original versions.Highlights included a sing-along version of Dylans The Mighty Quinn complete with a great banjo solo from lead guitarist Derek Atkinson,a rousing Can’t Tell The Bottom From The Top and an emotionally driven rendition of The Air That I Breathe.
– Paul Kelly

“Thank you for bringing such a wonderful show to our theatre.  I have no hesitation in recommending the Hollywood Bees to any other venue.  The music was wonderful and presented with a high degree of professionalism, which the audience clearly thoroughly enjoyed. It was a pleasure to work with a group who were well organised and got on with the job without any fuss.  I sincerely hope you will come back again.”
– Alan Henry Director and Master Guild of Players Theatre Royal Dumfries

“Just to say we were at the musselburgh show last night. It was a great show and way above our expectations. The band was superb and the audience were having a ball. The music certainly took us back in time. Have gone on about it all morning to friends, so haste ye back to Scotland more often please. Might make it to St Andrews. Thanks again for a brilliant night.”
– Helen and Cathy

“We saw your show at Nidd Hall last week – brilliant! It was also our Ruby Wedding anniversary. We have booked for next November when you are back there.  Looking forward to seeing you again.”
– Sylvia and Tony

“What a great start to our 60’s festival week end, the band went down a treat with the audience who were bowled over by the superb harmonies and accurate tribute to the music of The Hollies. Many thanks guys, keep it up.”
– Trevor Moss

“Those pristine harmonies aren’t easy to pull off, and their legacy might have been better honored by the Hollywood Bees, the U.K.-based Hollies tribute act.”
